Hello, I'm Shala Tolle, and I've dedicated the past six years of my life to the childcare industry. It's been a journey filled with love, challenges, and immense growth.

My story began when my late husband and I made the heartfelt decision to adopt a baby. Recognizing the importance of being present during this pivotal time, I knew that working long hours as an office manager wouldn't align with my new role as a parent. Thus, the idea of opening an in-home daycare took root—a decision that allowed me to bond with our son from the moment we brought him home.

Operating the daycare from the comfort of our home while nurturing our child was a profoundly rewarding experience. Over time, I developed a deep passion for entrepreneurship and decided to expand my business further. Despite the ongoing health challenges my late husband faced, we persevered, eventually moving to a new house solely dedicated to the daycare in January 2022. The sense of accomplishment was palpable as we upgraded our licensing status to become a C2 provider recognized by the state of Iowa.

However, 2023 brought its own set of trials. I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my mother in April and then, devastatingly, my husband in June. Faced with profound grief, I found solace in the resilience of my spirit and the unwavering support of my loved ones.

Amidst the pain, a new opportunity emerged. In August, prompted by a connection at Child Care Resource and Referral, my father and I explored the possibility of acquiring and transforming a building into a daycare center. It was a pivotal moment—one that symbolized not just a new chapter, but a testament to love's enduring strength.
